Virginia Settlers in Missouri
Mrs. Elizabeth Hord, aged 85, died 20 Feb 1897, near Harrisburg, Mo. She was the wife of Daniel Hord and came from Virginia in the 1830s. She had a son, T. B. Hord. She is buried in Harrisburg, Mo. Virginia Settlers in Missouri, Obituaries
Killis Hord(e) - of Culpeper Co. Virginia had Alexander, Daniel, Lewis,Edwin, Catharine, and Minnie. Alexander married Agnes James and settled in Callaway Co. Missouri in 1837. They had: Robert J., Richard L., Alexander, Julia A., Mary C., and Sarah J. Robert J. was born deaf and dumb. He married Martha Jones and they had two children who are deaf and dumb. Richard L. married Mary T. Heard of Virginia. Alexander married Mary T. Jones of Missouri. Julia A. married John Corby of Virginia. Mary C. married John Waller of Virginia. Sarah J. marred Robert Davis of Missouri. A History of Pioneer Families in Missouri (1876) pp. 345-346
